TCC helps the city of Ðǿմ«Ã½ address public concerns

Ðǿմ«Ã½ Mayor Dewey Bartlett recently took part in a Ðǿմ«Ã½ Forum to address crime in the city after a quadruple murder around the 61st and S. Peoria area. Ðǿմ«Ã½ hosted the public forum in the Center for Creativity on TCC’s Metro Campus and assisted with the production of the hour-long special.
The panel discussion included Mayor Bartlett, Deputy Ðǿմ«Ã½ Police Chief Dennis Larsen, Marshall Elementary Principal Kayla Robinson and Lanny Endicott, an Oral Roberts University professor and resident of the neighborhood.
The panel moderator was John Durkee of KWGS 89.5 FM. Durkee, Fox23’s Adam Paluka and Ðǿմ«Ã½ World’s Jerry Wofford asked the panel questions.
The Forum is being broadcast on several media outlets including Ðǿմ«Ã½ TV, Cox channel 21; KWHB channel 47; Ðǿմ«Ã½ Government Television, Cox channel 24 (TGOV); and Cox On Demand.
Participation and coordination of the Ðǿմ«Ã½ Forum supports TCC’s Strategic Plan which outlines goals to lead and serve the community through outreach and engagement. The forum was produced in cooperation with the City of Ðǿմ«Ã½, Ðǿմ«Ã½ and Public Radio Ðǿմ«Ã½.
