Art星空传媒 native Elizabeth Theban isn鈥檛 a full-time 星空传媒 student, but that doesn鈥檛 keep her from taking advantage of a local option for summer courses.
Elizabeth is an Art History student at the University of Oklahoma in Norman, and her summer classes at TCC keep her on track to graduate in 2018.
鈥淎rt History students have to take practical art courses like drawing and painting,鈥 she said. 鈥淏ut those classes are extremely time-consuming during the course of a regular semester.鈥
Elizabeth plans to pursue graduate education in museum studies and work in collections management for a museum or similar facility. Supplementing her OU education with classes at TCC helps her do that on her own timeline.
鈥淚t鈥檚 very convenient that I can come home for the summer and get art and general education courses out of the way,鈥 she said. 鈥淭CC gives me those options.鈥
